From factory to multi-purpose leisure center

PEAK was created in a space with a unique history. In fact, the building was once home to a whey processing factory, a field in which the Hellenic Protein group, to which Peak belongs, specializes. When the factory relocated its operations to a new facility, Mr. Pantelis Rapanakis saw an opportunity to repurpose the old building into a space for leisure and activities. The choice of location was no coincidence, as Kalavryta is a place he holds dear. Thus, an industrial site was transformed into a modern experience hub. The aim is to attract even more visitors to the area in collaboration with the Kalavryta Ski Center. At the same time, elements of the building’s history have been thoughtfully preserved. The bar at the well-known Mediterranean restaurant housed within the PEAK facilities was constructed from materials and objects salvaged from the former factory. Meanwhile, a large wall depicts the space as it once was when it operated as a production unit, allowing the past to coexist harmoniously with the present and keeping the original identity alive.

Supporting every level of experience

PEAK Indoor Ski Experience offers a unique approach to activities and entertainment, blending mountain lifestyle with modern innovation to create a one-of-a-kind, all-season destination. It is now the only place in Greece that offers both indoor skiing and climbing, all under one roof! The multi-activity facility combines sports, recreation, and relaxation. It offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy guided sports activities or unwind in a fully equipped space featuring a café and the well-known restaurant Due Pentole. Whether visitors are just starting out or refining technique, each activity brings them closer to the real experience. Their climbing wall features two pitches: a 3m bouldering wall and an 18m Olympic-sized wall, catering to all experience levels. The facility also features a massive outdoor climbing wall with stunning views of the mountainous surroundings. In addition, following its installation in October 2025, the facility is equipped with a highly advanced 5x9m Treadmill SkiMachine. Now, visitors can practice skiing even when the ski lifts at the Kalavryta Ski Resort go quiet.

The Kalavryta ski center at Mount Helmos

As one of the most well-known ski resorts in Greece and located within close distance from Athens, the Kalavryta Ski Center sits just 15 kilometers from the town of Kalavryta, on the northeastern side of Mount Helmos.
