As we step into 2026, it is the perfect moment to reflect on the experiences, milestones, and achievements that made the past year so special. From successful SkiMachine installations to the opening of new indoor skiing centers around the world, 2025 was truly a year to remember. Here is a look back at our highlights.

Two New SkiMachine installations in the UK

We kicked off the year with our engineers traveling to the UK to install a Treadmill SkiMachine in the London metropolitian region. A professional athlete will use it as a private training tool. The installation posed a unique challenge: all SkiMachine components had to be carefully maneuvered through a window to reach the property’s basement. Our engineers are always up for a challenge, and with the right tools and expertise, the installation was successfully completed, now it's waiting for the medals!
Later in the year, our engineers returned to the UK for a second installation in Luton at the indoor ski center InPiste. With the addition of our Treadmill SkiMachine alongside SkyTechSport’s simulator, the center now offers a unique combination of two indoor skiing concepts under one roof, providing skiers with multiple ways to train and enjoy the sport.

The First Ski Simulator in Iraq

Although our SkiMachines can be found all over the world, new destinations continue to inspire us. In March, we completed a remarkable installation in Iraq. While the country is not the first country that comes to mind for winter sports, skiing is gaining momentum in the mountainous northern regions. At Korek Mountain Resort and in the Choman area, natural winter snowfall is attracting a growing number of local visitors and boosting regional tourism. We are proud that this installation marks the first SkiMachine in Iraq, contributing to the rising popularity of skiing and snowboarding in the country!

Three Giant SkiMachines Installed In Kuwait

In July, our engineering team traveled to Kuwait City to install three giant Treadmill SkiMachines, each measuring an impressive ski surface of 7 by 11 meters, for KARV, a brand-new indoor ski center next to One International School. Designed for snow sports enthusiasts of all levels, KARV offers year-round skiing in a country not traditionally associated with winter sports. This marked our very first installation in Kuwait, and we are proud to see SkiMachine playing a role in introducing and growing snow sports in the region. KARV is set to inspire a new generation of skiers in a country where the sport is still emerging.

A Trip To The USA

In 2025, we crossed the Atlantic twice for installations in the United States. In September, we traveled to Tukwila near Seattle, where our SkiMachines were installed at Stoke Mountain, a new indoor snow center set to open to the public in January 2026. This multipurpose facility will feature a pro shop for waxing, tuning, and repairs, a retail store for apparel and equipment, a cozy café, and indoor skiing for both recreational and professional athletes.

In November, we returned to the United States for an installation in Grand Rapids, Michigan. City Slopes became the first indoor SkiMachine facility in the state. Located in Kentwood, the center offers beginner and advanced lessons, private coaching, and open training sessions in a fully climate-controlled environment. Serving Greater Grand Rapids and West Michigan, the center also stands out with a stunning snowy mountain artwork painted directly on the side of the SkiMachine. Their grand opening is early 2026.

Hermann Maier and the Snowsports Academy in Vienna

Ski legend Hermann Maier officially launched our Portable SkiMachine in the heart of Vienna at the historic Ice Skating Club at Heumarkt. Together with Snow Space Salzburg, Flachau, and Zauchensee, and supported by the Snowsports Academy Austria, the new winter season was kicked off in style. With guidance from instructors of the Snowsports Academy and the Hermann Maier Ski School, visitors mastered their very first city turns, fueled by enthusiasm, tips, and motivation. Vienna was chosen deliberately for this launch. As an important urban market and a symbol of climate-friendly winter tourism, it reflects the future of alpine sports. When asked how winter tourism can remain sustainable amid economic pressure and climate change, Snow Space Salzburg, Flachau, and Zauchensee provided a clear answer. Sustainable management, smart investments, digital solutions, and unforgettable guest experiences are key. We are proud that our SkiMachines can contribute to this vision.

A Trip To Brazil

Within just three months, our engineers traveled to Brazil twice to complete multiple installations in and around São Paulo. In total, four SkiMachines were installed across two locations. The first location, Born to Ski, is a newly opened indoor ski center situated in the vibrant Vila Olímpia neighbourhood. Since opening its doors in October, it has already welcomed large numbers of ski enthusiasts. The second location, Beyond The Club, is the world’s first private surfing, sports, and social club. Developed by BTG Pactual Asset Management, KSM Realty, and Realty Properties, and supported by surfing legends Gabriel Medina and Filipe Toledo, the facility will feature the world’s largest Wavegarden Cove with 62 modules, a sandy beach, and two of our indoor SkiMachines. This ambitious project brings together an unparalleled range of sports and leisure experiences within one large-scale facility, while also contributing to the growing popularity of skiing in Brazil.

SkiMachine At The Snow Show In London

At the Snow Show in Olympia London, we had the opportunity to connect with a diverse group of people shaping the future of snow sports. The 49th edition of the United Kingdom’s largest snow sports event marked its return to London after 15 years. From leading brands and resort representatives to instructors, innovators, and passionate skiers, the show was buzzing with energy. Many visitors were already familiar with the concept of indoor skiing and eager to learn more. These conversations confirmed what we have been noticing for some time. The momentum for indoor skiing in the UK is growing fast.

Armand Marchant Makes Belgian History

From countless hours of indoor ski training on our SkiMachine at Ski Indoor 4810 in Passy to rewriting Belgian ski history, Armand Marchant claimed second place in the World Cup slalom in Gurgl. He earned Belgium’s first-ever podium finish at the highest level of alpine skiing. After battling a serious knee injury that kept him off the slopes for two years, Armand delivered a truly inspirational performance. He moved from ninth place to second with the second-fastest time in the final run. His achievement is a powerful reminder that dedication pays off. We are proud that training on one of our SkiMachines contributed to such an outstanding athletic accomplishment.

New Pro Snow Artificial Ski Grass

Throughout the summer, our team focused on upgrading and revitalizing existing indoor ski centers between new installations. A key part of this effort involved replacing ski surfaces with a fresh layer of our Pro Snow Artificial Ski Grass. In December, we proudly launched an upgraded version of Pro Snow. Thanks to enhanced production processes and a new type of fibre, the redesigned surface offers an even more realistic skiing experience, closely replicating the feel of real snow. With improved glide, reduced noise, and a smoother ride, it elevates indoor skiing to an entirely new level.

Starting the new year strong

In December, we completed our final installation of the year in Qatar, closing out 2025 with a private SkiMachine installation, just as we began the year. Shortly before the end of the year, we also shipped two new SkiMachines bound for Los Angeles, United States andtwo for Doha, Qatar. In Los Angeles, Wave Rave Ski Shop will feature the largest SkiMachine in the United States, while in Doha, Quest Indoor Theme Park will introduce skiing as one of its many exciting attractions. As we look ahead to new indoor skiing projects, we are thrilled about what the future holds. On behalf of the entire SkiMachine team, we wish everyone a joyful, successful, and snow-filled 2026!
